The Drupal Gold Coast Christmas meetup is coming up next week. Time to get together for some pizza, drinks and Drupal!

This month should be pretty laid back, the plan is to order some pizza's, so bring a couple bucks to chip in and whatever you'd like to drink - OntheNet will have the usual stash of free Coke - but you can also bring some beer or whatever you'd fancy. One topic we'll be covering is progress on our charity site we're building as a group and planning the next steps.

When:
Tuesday, December 18, 2012
19:00 - 21:00

Where:
Level One OntheNet Building
165 Varsity Parade, Varsity Lakes, Australia

Thanks again to OnTheNet for providing the room and their continued support of Drupal.

Nice to see everyone this evening. With the thunder and lightning over the Gold Coast at the moment we literally finished the year on a bang!

  1. Heather ran us through her newly launched site http://www.caudit.edu.au/ - We spoke a bit about some interesting modules she's used there including http://drupal.org/project/nodeblock which is an interesting take on blocks, allowing you to turn content type instances into blocks.
  2. The Hobbit! I saw it last night, here in Chile we got it ahead of the Aus launch on Boxing Day. It's epic. Make sure you find a cinema with comfy seats, the detail they've included brings the Tolkien universe to life even more than the LoTR.
  3. Rohan's after some feedback on http://ausmotophotomag.com/
  4. Our charity project we're developing as a group is basically on hold until the new year.

I hope everyone has a enjoyable and restful holiday. Looking forward to seeing you all in the new year.

Yes it was a good meeting and Heather has done a great job on http://www.caudit.edu.au/ Never seen so many tabs in one line, but if it works, why not.
Soooooo envious of Saul getting to see the Hobbit, so hanging out for that movie.
Just a bit of feed back on your site Rohan http://ausmotophotomag.com/
Basically I like it a lot although the header needs work, logo would be good, and I think the blue text against the Gray may not have enough contrast. However if I could change anything it would be the buttons way to turn of the century for me. Was going wow at buttons like that in 1999 however that is purely subjective on my part.
I do like the opening slide show very interesting indeed.
