Sharing insights on the configuration options available for Drupal and the database would be great! Focusing on Drupal 5's new performance features plus tips and tricks towards optimizing performance and tuning the LAMP stack for Drupal.

Distribution Profiles

In my "copious spare time" I'm working on creating recipe guides and capturing personal experience for creating a couple of different distributions:

  1. A High School Alumni Association website, including things such as:

    • Class contact info
    • Class reunion info and organizing features
    • Newsletters, forums, organic groups
    • Fund-raising
    • Node voting and user points to encourage participation

  2. An collaboration intranet for a professional services firm, including things such as:

    • Standard policies and procedures
    • Practice development and service offerings
    • Organization of internal and external Intellectual Property (IP)
    • Capturing deliverables and lessons learned from engagements

Would love to share thoughts and experiences on one or both of these, if there's interest.
