Hello!
is there a price for tickets in this Drupal Camp?

Si se puede imaginar, se puede programar.

Camp price being finalized

We haven't finalized the registration prices. I'll post more information when it is available.

Thanks for your inquiry and stay tuned!

I'm pretty sure this camp is for Minneapolis/St. Paul Drupal Group http://groups.drupal.org/twin-cities But it is showing up on the http://www.drupical.com/ map as around Wichita.

Puzzling

kpoeppe's picture

This is puzzling, since "we're not in Kansas anymore."

I didn't add the camp info to drupical.com, and I can't edit the entry. Looks like the developers are working through some issues. Since our event information is correct here on gdo, I'm going to let go of this one. Thanks for the eagle eye, Cathy!

Whoops! - Accidently published on drupical.com

jack13's picture

Shouldn't be published until there is a venue.

The puzzling part of Wichita is the geocoding result by Google for "USA" ;-)
(The exact center of the USA is "Old City" - https://maps.google.com/maps?q=USA&z=18&t=h )

Event is now unpublished on drupical.com (as long there's no venue).

We have a venue!

Thanks for moving our camp out of Wichita (as lovely a place as it may be). And, if you have the power, we'd love to get back on the map using our actual venue location:

Finalized this week: price and location

kpoeppe's picture

As Barry said, our camp will be at the University of St. Thomas campus in downtown Minneapolis. It's a great space with lots of natural lighting, very comfy chairs, and lots of transportation options.

Also, camp registration is $35 per person. This price includes
- a full day of training classes on Thursday, July 18,
- two days of sessions by top notch speakers on Friday, July 19 and Saturday, July 20
- and a code sprint on Sunday, July 21.

We will post announcements about social gatherings and speakers as they are confirmed. If you are interested in volunteering, please email me. Thanks!

Ooops!

Do I need to help herd all the cats I inadvertently let out of the bag? Fie on me -- I didn't think before I typed that this was not yet public (or final) information.

Apologies but, it's an awesome space (visited it yesterday) and it's going to be an awesome camp. Save the dates already!

No worries!

We signed the contract with UST yesterday during the walkthrough. I didn't feel comfortable announcing the location until the ink was dry.

Thanks for helping share the good news!

Water Park

stpaultim's picture

I'm not sure if its the cheapest or closest option with a pool, but this is most likely the closest option with a water park.

http://www.thedepotminneapolis.com/water-park.php

It's only about a 15 minute walk from the camp venue or a short shuttle bus ride (I think you can ride buses within downtown for free or very cheap - someone please confirm).

Others might have better suggestions....

Free Shuttle Bus on Nicollet Too

If you stay at the Depot, it's a free bus ride from Washington to 12th street, which cuts about 10 blocks off that walk.
