Apologies if this was the incorrect place to post this. I have simply seen posts of a similar nature so I was under the impression it was allowed. A moderator may delete this if it belongs elsewhere.

It is blatant spamming and if you had any credibility you would remove the hyperlink.
Doesn't seem all that bad
Doesn't seem all that bad with posts like: http://groups.drupal.org/node/296273 from people wanting to offload work.
How come your accounts only a few hours old? Either you registered simply to accuse me of spamming or you monitor the group via another account and didn't want to say anything from that account?
That post is the opposite of
That post is the opposite of yours. It is someone offering work to the community and they ask people to contact them via their contact form.
Your post is soliciting work and also being really scummy by hyperlinking keywords to your website.
Lets just chill everybody. I
Lets just chill everybody.
I don't see anything wrong with the post at all. Introducing yourself to the community, I think its ok.
foobarz, you seem pretty cranky and as mentioned you have only been a member for 15 hrs, which is pretty close to when this post was made and that makes me a little suspicious.
For the record, I'm not taking sides, just stating my opinion.
There is nothing wrong with
There is nothing wrong with introducing yourself to the community at all, but it is the manner in which it is done that is disturbing.
If you read the original post you will see they have hyperlinked 'drupal development' to their site (not to their homepage but to a specific drupal page ladend with keywords).
If that behaviour is allowed on here then we have about two hours until the entire world starts spamming this resource.
foobarz, can I ask why you
foobarz, can I ask why you joined the site?
I can't understand why you are so concerned with the potential future spamming of this resource when you have been a member of it for only half a day.
Why do you support link

Ok, so its obvious that you wont answer the question.
I am not getting any further involved in this. I've said what I need to, its up to the moderators to take it further if they believe its required.
I joined the site because I
I joined the site because I don't think useful resources should deteriorate into a haven for spammers. Just because I am a new member doesn't mean I don't use and read this site.
Why do you think it is ok for people to use this site for their own SEO purposes?
There's an issue queue for that.
Foobarz, welcome to Drupal.org.
There are established processes for reporting spam on the Drupal.org infrastructure. If you think this post is spammy, you can file an issue with component "spam" on the groupsdrupalorg project, and link back to the post which you feel is not appropriate. The maintainers will take care of it from there.
Thanks both of you for being part of the Drupal community.
If my comments have helped you, please pay it forward!
Use issue queues to discuss module issues - this will help your questions assist others (including yourself!) in future.
Thanks for the pointer :)

Edited the link to be on the company name instead. I don't think there is anything overly wrong with the post otherwise.
