I am an Australian Developer just moved here for www.emergingstars.com. The site was on WordPress, I transferred it to Drupal and made it amazing with all Drupal coolness(8 custom modules in total). The stunning thing is I can't believe I transferred almost 56,000 plain WordPress posts into Drupal content types with Taxonomies and Language stuff, that tells us what drupal is capable of.
For the Drupalars, I was wondering if someone from the Group can guide me for my "little" business www.eshockit.com. I have general networking queries only.
I have worked with many Australian Government websites and stuff. I am also available for any help my South African Portfolio is www.emergingstars.com. You may visit and see "Registration", complex customizations and views I have used. work will speak itself.
Contact me for more information.

Drupal 7 + With Migrate Api
yes drupal is cabpable for this . You can transferred whole content by using Migrate module into drupal.
Migration
I've been with Drupal for so many years now that I grew up with it before migrate existed. Got so used to writing my own migration scripts for big data that when the occasion arises I still do that.
I know it is really high time that I sit down and check out migrate. I listened to enough podcasts and read enough recommendations that I know I'm doing myself a disservice not making use of it.
Nice migration amjad1233! Also like those nice rollovers on your own site's portfolio. Do you attend the meet-ups? They're really good for networking organically. But so is participation here in the group too if you're not conveniently close to one.
The 'Joburg one is tonight if you're interested.
Thanks Riaan
Oh yes Migrations can be fuzzy sometimes. Especially when client requests you to import "Plain" countries(with spell mistakes ;-)) and convert them in Geo Location.
I wish I could attend those meetups we use to have similar kind of meet-ups in Melbourne at SitePoint if anyone has heard of it.
But unfortunately, I am in Cape Town. Well anyways I am sure I will be in touch online with these exciting and fun Drupal Groups. I wonder after a while we should call them "GROUPAL" ;-)
Thanks for your response. Enjoy the rest of the evening.
Regards,
Amjad
