Scholar sites creation problem

I have installed Openscholar 3.6, using the ./scripts/build command. The site installs with no error messages. When I go to the new Home page and click on Create Your Scholar Site, the scholar site seems to create properly, with a link to Go There Now and the appropriate url listed. When I go to the new site, I see the message: "The URL might be incorrect or have changed. Please go back to the homepage".

The sites are listed in the content list, but I can only get the URL might be incorrect message.

Any ideas? I'm running the Openscholar site on MAMP, but have tried on a Mac Server also and get the same error messages.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

What does the URL for one of your sites look like? There are two things I'm wondering about. 1. Is it in a subdirectory? OS usually does fine on localhost but localhost/openscholar has been problematic for some environments. 2. Are clean URLs working? If they're not and we're linking to localhost/mysite instead of localhost/?q=mysite, you're gonna have a bad time.

The URL is http://scholar:8888/test-user
Clean URLs are enabled - 1st thing I checked.

It looks like it's related to this bug https://github.com/openscholar/openscholar/issues/3020

Thanks

Thanks for the link. I'll try that and see if it works and also try moving the installation to a server for testing.
