Florida Drupal Trivia Night! Saturday, August 24, 2013 (7-11pm)

Hey everybody,

If you're interested in attending the first ever Florida Drupal Trivia Night in at Ryan's Pub in Cocoa Village, Florida, please use the signup button below so we have an idea of how many people we can expect.

We need at least 30 people to sign up by August 10 or we may have to consider canceling the event.

This event would is open to all, and would utilize the Q&As from the DrupalCon Portland Trivia Night (if you attended the DrupalCon Portland Trivia Night, then congrats, you're one of the hosts!)

The idea is to provide a fun, easy-to-organize event for the Florida Drupal Community to get together and network and enjoy each other's company.

I have tentatively secured the venue with the following caveats:

• In order for us to secure the venue on a weekend night, we have to spend a certain amount of money (about $1,000). We can make this happen by providing an all-you-can-eat buffet for $15 for all attendees. This would be the entrance fee to the event. There will be a cash bar for drinks, but we'd be happy to welcome a sponsor or two as well...
• The venue holds 50 people, no more. This is the same location where we have the (awesome) Brevard meetups, the food is great, and the staff knows us well.
• The only (small) downside of the venue is that the WiFi is close to non-existant. Seeing how this is geared to be a social event were we actually talk to other people in the room, I don't see this as a big deal.

There will be a $15 entrance fee (cash only, please) that will get you an all-you-can-eat pizza and salad buffet. A full cash bar will also be available.

We'd love to see folks from all over Florida make the trip, we're just a few miles off I-95, within 3 hours from Jacksonville, Gainesville, Orlando, Tampa, West Palm Beach. It would be great carpools could be arranged from all of our local meetup sites.
