Hi All,
We're looking for peeps to talk at the Drupal Sydney August meetup.
Its on the 15th of August and the topic is 'DX' or 'Developer Experience' - we want to hear about your wicked cool deployment processes or some awesome .vimrc file (ok, maybe thats just me that wants to hear about that.) Maybe you have some sweet PHPStorm/Textmate/SublimeText config or plugin or use a sweet API for something.
Anything that you think could make the other devs' lives easier or more exciting (devs need this.)
Shoot me (christian@previousnext.com.au) or kim.pepper (kim@previousnext.com.au) an email or whatever and we can chat.
Christian

Features numeric id problem
Is anyone covering the Features numeric id problem. it is the biggest trap for first time users of automated deployment.

I could fill about 5 minutes
I could fill about 5 minutes with a very simple bash script for settings up vhosts and databases, ready to take a Drupal site. Saves a little time every so often. But more of a lightning talk than a proper preso.
Great! Sounds good. Thanks

Bundler
I can give a lightning talk on bundler. We use it for making sure everyone has their compass gems set at the same version.

APC makes developers smile
Hello Christian,
I'm also speaking at DC Prague :) - about server monitorig.
To respect the theme of your meetup, I could use just some of the parts which matter to the Developer Experience :)
a) deliver either 10 to 12 minute lightening talk about how to configure APC cache on your local (e.g. vagrant) environment - showing the apc cache dashboard / graph and how to adjust apc based on it.
OR
b) double it to about 20 to 25 minutes and chuck in a bit of munin (showing how to install and how get these nice detailed mysql graphs for example) and then look at say 3 to 5 of these graphs, working with the audience: what's wrong with your mysql server and what we need to change to fix it?

Thanks Marji,
I have Boris and Dave as the main 20min sessions for now, so we only have a lightning talk spot for you. Is that ok?
