PDXTech4Good, an all-volunteer group, is hosting this free event that I thought might appeal to some Drupal folks. Three Portland-area developers will talk about the CRMs RedHen (built in Drupal), CiviCRM (integrates with Drupal, and lots of community cross-over) and Salesforce (used widely with Drupal sites).

It's specifically oriented toward nonprofits, community groups and activists, but anyone who uses CRMs might benefit.

No need to RSVP. If you think you might be interested in other PDXTech4Good events held the first Wednesday of every month, head over to the Meetup event page and sign up.

Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) systems allow you to create a 360 degree view of all your interactions with constituents. CRMs help you track contact information, fundraising, demographics, membership levels, membership directories, volunteering, and communication.

In this panel discussion local experts Cat Monaghan, Stuart Gaston, and Lev Tsypin will talk about Salesforce, CiviCRM, and RedHen.

Stop by for discussion, networking with the nonprofit tech crowd, and sweet treats!

We want to thank the good people at ThinkShout for sponsoring the venue space for this meetup!

What you'll get out of PDXTech4Good events

  • Nonprofit staffers will find a friendly, welcoming atmosphere for those not experienced with technology, and many chances to ask questions of tech-experienced nonprofits and experts.
  • Techies will find opportunities to hear the real-world stories of nonprofit clients, and put their own expertise to social good — as well as the potential for lasting relationships (be they paid or volunteer) with leading organizations in our community.
  • Activists and community organizers will see and be given the chance to present on successful uses of technology for social change. We'll explore how technology can help support activism and where activism can push it forward.
