Migrating from CiviCRM

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

As a long time user of CiviCRM who has been interested in migrating to a native Drupal solution, I have a few questions about RedHen.

In http://thinkshout.com/blog/2012/06/sean/redhen-crm-part-2
there is a list of features that were being explored. Is there a roadmap that might indicate when some of these features should available? Also, what about some features like contact change logging? Recurring events? Self-service modification of event registrations (with some limits as to what and when changes can be made)? Is there a plan/timetable for a D8 version?

In another post, I noticed a comment that there were plans to enable migration of CiviCRM entities to RedHen. Is there a timeframe when tool for doing that might be available?

Finally, CiviMail is the one component of CiviCRM that does not have an analog within RedHen. I was curious what others are using to solve this problem (individualized and generic mass mailings, with bounce processing and CAN-SPAM requirements).

Thanks again for all the work you have done. I look forward to tracking RedHen's progress.

Have a read of these two thinkshout blog posts regarding RedHen mass mailing options using the Mandrill service. The RedHen-VBO-Mandrill combination works fine and much scope for customising how you want things to be done.
