Hi Everyone!
I'm finding that South Africa users are not comfortable paying in $US via Ubercart. My credit card system is setup with 2checkout.com ..
How would I create, even if it's another product (though it assigns a role), but in SA currency that would then charge the credit card in ZAR's.
The way I see it one product will be in $US's and the other production in ZAR's, but either assigns the role to the user once payment is complete.
Has anyone perhaps have a solution to this please .. this is a paying job :)
Thanx and look forward to any reply.
Lilian

Hi Lilian,
I can possibly help but I'm not 100% sure I understand your question...
1. Is the problem that 2checkout.com doesn't charge the credit cards in Rands and therefore you are looking at a payment gateway alternative?
If #2 is your issue then there are a few add-on modules for Ubercart that might help you, they do slightly different things so you'll have to check them out and see what works for you:
http://drupal.org/project/multicurrency - Drupal 5 only
http://drupal.org/project/currency - Drupal 5+6
http://drupal.org/project/uc_multiprice - Drupal 6 only
http://www.ubercart.org/contrib/11122 - Drupal 6 only
Hope that helps :)
Thank you so much for your
Thank you so much for your reply Kirsty ..
Yes, I've had a look at:
http://drupal.org/project/multicurrency (You actually have to hack Ubercart directly and the module has a core bug)
http://drupal.org/project/currency - Drupal 5+6 (this is just a module to check rates via Yahoo and does not specifically integrate with Ubercart)
http://drupal.org/project/uc_multiprice - Drupal 6 only (you need IP2Country installed and you cannot choose your currency, it selects currency by the IP)
http://www.ubercart.org/contrib/11122 - (here I think you can add products with different currencies, but when you go to 2Checkout.com it reverts to $US)
Basically I just want users to be able to choose from a selection $US, SA ZAR, Euro's and GBP.
Has anyone come across something like this please that works with Ubercart?
What I'm thinking is just to set up new products (for the same roles), but in different currencies. It has to work with http://www.2checkout.com
Look forward to any suggestions, and again thank you.
Lilian
2Checkout now supports ZAR
According to this link 2Checkout now supports ZAR as a default currency as of last month.
