Hello North Carolina!
I'm just getting into drupal development and I haven't found much in the way of local resources or meetups in my area (Charlotte NC).
Do I need to drive 2.5 hours to the triDUG users group in Cary to get myself started? They seem to be the most active group.
Would appreciate any leads you all might have. Also looking for training in NC or the South East, if you have suggestions. Thanks!

It just needs
It just needs a dynamic leader with the time to devote to getting a group going. You could consider that.

My suggestion would be to
My suggestion would be to link up with some folks on IRC. Tap into the community support available there and on drupal.org, then if you have specific questions post up here or catch someone in #drupal-nc.
thanks for the suggestions.
thanks for the suggestions. especially the IRC tip, proved to be very helpful.
Local Charlotte group
I'd love to find out who is close to Charlotte. I don't have time to lead a group but it might be great for us to get together once in a while if for nothing else than to just grab a beer and talk Drupal.

Classic Graphics Thursday lunch
The Classic Graphics IT team goes out to lunch on Thursdays in the Northlake Mall area. Would anyone be interested in joining us? There's usually at least 3 Drupal developers in attendance.

Thanks and Happy New Year!

Northlake Mall food court at Noon
Our plan again this week is the food court at Northlake mall. We'll try to sit as close to Borders as we can. There should be 6 of us today. If you see a guy that looks like Gandalf the White, you might be at the right place.
