Thanks all for a great night. A few notes:-

1/ Presentation 1:
Vlad's presentation was an excellent overview to the growing use within Drupal of Zurb's 'Foundation' as an alternative responsive design framework to Twitter's 'Bootstrap'. He outlines some of this on Technocrat's blog http://www.technocrat.com.au/blog and last night's presentation will be available soon at http://www.slideshare.net/VladimirAus

Vlad mentioned that Zurb appear to be working with Google to promote wider adoption of Foundation with JSangular.

2/ Presentation 2:
Robert's presentation gave an excellent insider view of the development of an all of government national portal: My Aged Care. Stage one of this major Federal government project with Drupal pulling together the diverse data sources has been live and public since achieving its 1 July 2013 deadline: http://www.myagedcare.gov.au/

3/ Lightening Talks:
A: Module Recommendations
And from the Lightning Talks, a couple of suggestions of almost 'must-have' low overhead modules were:-
-- 'Module Filter' https://drupal.org/project/module_filter suggested by Cam;
-- 'Filter Permissions' https://drupal.org/project/filter_perms suggested by John;
B: Digital Asset Management
And the quest continues within the Drupal world for a project that will effectively manage all of a site's digital assets. (Eg. some do video well but not still images and vice-versa.) Suggestions?
C: Drupal Association
Grant advised that his dev shop 'Intermission Studios' is now an organisational member of the Drupal Association: https://drupal.org/user/1677256 (Congrats Grant!!)
D: DrupalSouth Wellington 2014
Some discussion re 'DrupalSouth 2014' (Asia-Pacific's biggest Drupal conference) a full 3 day event: Fri 14th, Sat 15th & Sun 16 Feb 2014 in Wellington, NZ.
- Registrations not yet open however you can subscribe to receive notification when they do open: http://drupalsouth2014.drupal.org.nz/ .
- The focus for DrupalSouth 2014 will be the imminent release of Drupal 8, with four main session tracks: [1] Coding & Development; [2] Front End (UX, Design & Theming); [3] Site Building; and [4] Business & Strategy. Further details on tracks at http://drupalsouth2014.drupal.org.nz/speakers/conference-tracks .
- Call for session submissions is now open: http://drupalsouth2014.drupal.org.nz/news/call-for-sessions . Proposals' deadline is midnight (UTC) on Friday Nov 1, and the Track Chair team will be announcing selections shortly after that.

4/ Drupal Brisbane Meetups - meetup format discussion:
A: Discussion about the Meetup referenced our southern cousins in Syd and Melb meetups. Helpful yet inconclusive discussion on the conundrum of providing more accessible content for Drupal starters whilst maintaining strong engagement we have achieved with our core meetup regulars - around 30 of Brisbane's most experienced Drupal developers. Also identified was the need to engage more with designers.

B: Some discussion on offering weekend 'Getting Started in Drupal' workshops - via byo laptop and perhaps combining with mentoring and/or master-class (i.e mentoring with a data projector) sessions.

C: Simon Cooper will 'curate' our next meetup - on Tues 12th Nov 2013 - and may explore a theme for the evening.
