How do you build a global entertainment business from a small concept only known by super-geeks? Ask Nanea Reeves. She is the Chief Operating Officer of Machinima, a leading online entertainment network for young males reaching 200 million uniques monthly. The company has raised almost $50M from MK Capital, Redpoint Ventures and Google.

Nanea Reeves brings over 15 years of experience in the online service and digital distribution arena. She has been directly involved in creating many innovative products, platforms and consumer destinations for multiple industries including video game publishing, ecommerce, entertainment and social/mobile applications

Before Nanea joined Machinima she was the Chief Product & Strategy Officer for Gaikai, the cloud services platform Company specializing in the delivery of streamed video games. Nanea was directly responsible for Gaikai’s product roadmap that included deployments to YouTube and Facebook as well as the overarching strategic direction of the company that helped to secure $30MM in Series C funding from Benchmark Capital, Intel Capital, NEA, Rustic Canyon, and Qualcomm Ventures.

Prior to joining Gaikai, Nanea ran Operations for the EA Global Online Group responsible for most of the central tech and consumer interfaces at Electronic Arts. Under her leadership, the EA Online Group was directly responsible for transforming EA’s legacy online systems into a highly scalable service layer that is now well deployed across multiple products and platforms.
