Casetracker and submitting issues

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Under "Feedback" at http://groups.drupal.org/helloworld, the following is stated:

The site has a simple ticketing system for reporting issues. We hope to soon provide each group with its own ticketing area. We also have a feedback form -http://groups.drupal.org/contact.

When I click on simple ticketing system for reporting issues, it shows me the 6 issues submitted thus far. (7 issues total as of 5/7/06, but one of them is a duplicate so really only 6 issues.)

So far so good.

However, when I get to the simple ticketing system screen and try to add a new case, I don't see a way to submit my issue. I see:

  • event
  • help tip
  • image
  • group
  • poll
  • story

Shouldn't there be an "issue" item to choose from on the list, or am I missing something? My user expectation was to see an additional item labeled:

  • issue

So, how do I add a new issue?

By the way, Moshe, I think this idea of yours is brilliant!

We hope to soon provide each group with its own ticketing area.

I think each group having its own ticketing area will truly allow each group to more easily set its own destiny in terms of the look, feel, and functionality for that specific group, not to mention of course resolving important issues.

Thanks,
Walt
