Presentation on Books & Outline Designer for Online Learning
I posted on d.o about developing a site that does "workbooks" - https://drupal.org/node/2111731 and wondered if anyone is doing anything for Amherst that could use this model.
I could also talk about the first half of a "web reflection" from a "Drupal in Higher Ed" meeting I attended recently run by Acquia (the first half of the presentation) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tT0RC2sLWg4.I submitted this for an Instructional Design course I just finished.
The second half of that web reflection is not about Drupal but about designing social learning environments, an extension of a presentation I made at Drupalcamp in Amherst a few years ago: http://empowered-teacher.com/sites/empower/files/drupal-and-moodle.pdf
If anyone previews any of this and would like to help focus the talk more, let me know?

Presentation on Integrating Drupal with Google Drive and Dropbox
Hello UMass Drupalers,
I'm interested in giving a short presentation on integrating Drupal with Google Drive and/or Dropbox – with an example use case for Higher Ed.
The presentation would summarize the different types of integrations that are possible with consideration of technical approaches, level of effort, and use of specific contrib modules.
This would essentially be an abridged version of a presentation I gave at Drupaldelphia back in October. You can see the full original description of that session here:
http://www.drupaldelphia.com/program/schedule/sessions/drupal-docs-integ...
As this is a talk that I'm continuing to develop, I would love the opportunity to share it with the UMass group, get feedback, and answer any questions.
There are lots of very useful things you can do with these types of integrations. Let me know if this would be of any interest for this meeting.
Note: The talk only covers the use of Drupal contrib modules, the use free APIs, and approaches that anyone could use. Absolutely no sales pitch or commercial slant whatsover.
Thanks and happy holidays!

Bram & Dave, Any of these
Bram & Dave,
Any of these topics sound like a great kick-off to 2014. I hope you can attend the January 9 meeting.

I'll be there.
I'll be there. Thanks.
Looking forward to the meeting.
Regards,
Dave
I shall be there too!
If anyone is particularly interested in using Drupal as a "Connectivist" workplace to support online learning, please comment and I'll create a presentation? Else I'll talk ad hoc and see if interest exists for follow-up.

Great Meeting, Steve!
I loved Dave's presentation on Drupal, Google & Dropbox. Lots of great stuff there I'll be applying immediately.
I am sorry I had to leave early and could not say goodbye to everyone.
Here's a YouTube video about some of the thinking I shared today:

Dave & Bram, thanks for
Dave & Bram, thanks for sharing and making the trip out our way. Though we don't usually work on this level, it's always helpful to be thinking of possibilities and solving problems.
Great Presentations!
Thanks Dave & Bram for your great presentations! The various web designers and Drupal developers throughout the university are all tasked with different types of problems to solve within the Drupal framework and it is so wonderful to gather the knowledge of others in the areas of online learning and the integration of collaborative tools within Drupal so that we become aware of possible solutions.
