It's almost the 3rd Tuesday of the month, which means it's Drupal Drinks time in Dundee.
Next meetup will be on Tuesday 21st January, to discuss lots of the latest Drupal news, learn how to run Drupal on NGINX and learn how to manage virtual development environments with Vagrant.
Our regular room had already been booked by someone else, so we'll meet in room 2F10 in the Dalhousie Building (http://www.dundee.ac.uk/general/campusguide/virtualtour/dalhousie/). The room is available from 6.30 and we'll kick off at 7. We'll aim to finish before 8.30pm.

Lightning talks are short 2-4 min presentations and can be anything Drupal or web related - a demo of site you've built, a module you've used in a project, a YML primer or an explanation of of the Symfony routing system (bravo if you can squeeze that last one into a 4 min talk :-) ).
All are welcome - especially those who are new to Drupal or want to find out anything about getting started. As with Drupal, the event is free... just please signup so we know who's coming.

Nice one. I possibly jumped the gun sending that out, seems that there is such a thing as being too organised :)
We've got four online signups and one verbal signup to make 5, so I think we'll go ahead as planned.

Next Month
Does anyone want to expand the minds of the rest of the group at the next Drupal Drinks Dundee by doing a presentation this month (Tue 18th Feb)?
Or are there any suggestions for topics that people would like to see presented?
Drupal 8
No takers for this months presentation, so I'm intending to do a "Dive into Drupal 8" session, which will include an overview of the changes from D7 => D8 (and some pictures of cats!). This will leave the door open for people to do future sessions that go deeper into the different areas of D8 (modules, theming, site building, configuration, views, web services etc), so we can all be D8 experts by the time it's released :)
This months Drupal Drinks is on Tue 18th (1 week tomorrow). I'll put up the event on G.D.O in the next couple of days so keep an eye out for that and sign up if you intend to come along.
