I have a functioning aegir install with 0.4-3alpha. I have been able to migrate several sites from 6.14 to 6.15 with no problems. Can I migrate Aegir to 6.15 using the migrate function?

I dont believe so, not yet at least. If you noticed the migrate option is not clickable. What I do usually is just swap the files out manually and run the updatedb from the command line... or you could also just go to ur drupal /update.php page. That said your aegir site is not likely accessible by anyone so the security releases are not as imperative & you likely dont need to rush.. JMO YMMV.

You upgrade Aegir itself by using the 'drush hostmaster migrate' command from the command line. This is different to the Migrate task you see in the frontend.

Read the UPGRADE.txt in the Hostmaster profile directory, adjusting the directory names etc where required (we used to put aegir in a 'drupal-6.x' directory, obviously you need to choose something unique now for a new frontend platform i.e 'hostmaster-6.15' ).

sweet .. havnt seen the hostmaster migrate goody ... guess swapping the files was so quick n easy Ive not looked at the update.txt for minor core bits .. especially since aegir is now snug in its own platform. The drush make should speed things up for sure .. cant wait to try it out, thanks for the tip off Mig.

Cheers!

Thanks
