Everyone is welcome; if you have built a site in Drupal, you can contribute. We will split into pairs and work on D8 Search API issues. Bring your laptop. If possible, install git before coming and git clone Drupal 8 core. For new folks: you can get a head start also by making an account on Drupal.org and taking a look at the Drupal Ladder http://drupalladder.org/
Please Note: Including the First of May! (Swiss national holiday “Tag der Arbeit”) But that does not spoil the fun :-)

Caution: Search API maintainer among us
The preparation of the Search API sprint is already ongoing. Andrei already started to work on Search API and deep dives into its status. During the next days, he will push the port forward and make it functional as much as possible. Further refactoring might happen later.
Also i'm happy to announce, that Nick VH (Acquia), one of the current Search API maintainers, will join the sprint to make sure it will be a success. We have already 10 people on board!
To start full throttle, we decided to organise a barbecue dinner on top of the roofs of the office, on Monday 28.
Just started / Grill event moved to TUE
We are already fully sprinting in the office with most people joining.
Remote participation is also possible through IRC #drupal-search-api.

Awesome sprint, even better results
Thank you all for joining the sprint. A full week of work by 10+ people is a huge community effort.
To me it feels like we had one of the most efficient sprints ever. We pushed the huge monster a big leap forward: Search API is on track to be perfectly "Ready when Drupal 8 is" and i'm proud we did our part for it.
