IMP spam

I'm just curious, since I belong to multiple groups on g.d.o, why is there so much spam in this group? It seems like other groups don't have this problem.

The reason is that spammers are posting their spam mostly in the groups listed in the New Groups block, which IMP is one of.

Please report any spam messages to the "webmasters" project issue queue with the URL to the posting and ideally the user account that posted it. I've seen stuff come in at 3am, posted to the issue queue and drop a link into IRC and - bam! Fixed within a few minutes. They do a really awesome job of taking care of these promptly (however, it still sucks to get the email)...
