Any suggestions for selecting a starter theme for creating an Internet Radio station site utilizing the Station module and Drupal 6.
(ie AdaptiveTheme, Fusion, Genesis, Zen)

Has anyone had success modifying an exisiting theme, or would starting from scratch be the best way to go.

Thanks

I have found that many of the themes work well with the station module. I have also created some from scratch. I juess what I am saying, It is up to you if you want to modify one or create one. I am favoring creating one.

For what it's worth

In my limited experience with each of the starter themes you mentioned, my pick would be Fusion for a multitude of reasons (i.e.; support, versatility, native Skinr connectivity, etc.) After working with the other themes I find Fusion to be the most versatile, best positioned for future dev, and easily configurable. That said, in the final analysis I think it really boils down to personal preference. I have a deep appreciation for the other 3 (and more for that matter) and value them for other reasons (Genesis - documentation, Zen - configurability / sub-themes, etc.) Hope that helps. I can't wait to read what others say.

Any theme will work fine with

Any theme will work fine with the Station module, but if you intend on really customizing your theme, it's best to start with a starter theme that's really built for customization such as the ones you mentioned than heavily modifying a pre-existing "finished" theme.

I'm personally a big fan of Zen. I've created the Zenophile module to help create new Zen subthemes quickly.

Thanks

I have somewhat limited experience in this area, so leaning toward using AdaptiveTheme, which just released its 2.0 version.
There is support for skinr and panels, and a fair bit of online documentation.

Will post a link once done (someday...)

there are theme generators that work also
