I am honored to announce that our little Nova Scotia Drupal Group is hosting Angie Byron this summer. I've had the pleasure of meeting and hanging out with Angie at a couple of Drupal conferences (when I can get through the paparazzi).
To say that Angie is an incredible woman, and fearless leader of Open Source projects - including Drupal 7, and 8 is an understatement.
Angie is going to talk about Drupal 8, since that's been her life lately. In terms of what the group would enjoy most, we might look at porting modules/themes, since this is what the community's going to be doing for the next N months after Drupal 8 comes out
We can walk through porting a "practice" module. Maybe also opening with an intro about D8 features for less code-inclined individuals focusing more on the configuration side of things.
Another area we may look at, since it will require a lot of work moving in to Drupal 8 - will be documentation.
Our meeting format will be open, and casual as per our usual meetings. Angie will be happy to answer any questions, and even stay longer if people are interested.
I encourage you to poke your fellow Drupal associates to come out. This is not the kind of opportunity our little group will often see.
Right now, we are going to assume that using TeamSpace / TheRedSpace's new digs will be the location. That may change as we approach meetup time.

Sadly Will Not Make It Tonight
Hello all,
I'm really sad to say that I won't be able to make it to tonight's meet up.
It would have been my first meet up with this group. I was really excited to meet all of you and looking forward to looking closer into Drupal 8.
Sadly, I just got back from a trip to Switzerland yesterday and am still pretty jet lagged from it.
I hope the meet up tonight goes by great and I hope there are more meet ups of this group in the future so I can come along.
