I posted our usual drupal gov BoFs for drupalcon and noticed that there's a "Public Sector" meetup (looks like a gov meetup) at the same time, sponsored by Acquia.
I was thinking that maybe I should cancel the day 1 BoF, but am hoping for more opinions on this matter before I do.
If you're coming to Drupalcon, would you prefer to meet as a BoF or the Acquia sponsored meetup?

It depends on what Acquia is
It depends on what Acquia is going to do. I don't need to sit through an Acquia sales pitch, I was previously a customer and am very familiar with their offerings. I don't need to be sold on why Drupal is good for gov websites, since we already use it (and I was the one who sold it!)
I'd be more interested in talking with current gov ppl who are using Drupal/moving to Drupal. So, if that's your plan maybe you should keep this one in tact and we can just go steal their cookies. :)

It's not a Sales pitch :)
Hey there!
I'm Tahlor Marchi from Acquia and I manage Field Marketing for North America, and I am the organizer of all of our meetups at DrupalCon. We had planned this Public Sector meetup a while back - but that being said it is open to anyone & everyone in the Public Sector Industry that is attending DrupalCon. This is not an Acquia sales pitch event - we're just providing the platform for conversation :)
We're encouraging folks to bring their lunch over and participated in a facilitated discussion - the main goal is to connect peers and discuss relevant topics with each other - very similar to a BoF!
It would be awesome if we can combine the two. We have a room reserved and tables set up. Here is the RSVP link: http://industrymeetupsdrupalconatx.drupalgardens.com/
Should you have any questions - please feel free to email me at tahlor.marchi (at) acquia.com - I'm happy to help!
