Geared towards web components and the future of the front end in D9, some off this discussion also veered into headless drupal discussion and how to completely decouple front end from drupal. One interesting point made here was that field formatters need to have an API that can communicate to MVC frameworks to help with this decoupling so that you can format fields with the standard TWIG route or use something like angular to format fields.
