Hi Guys,
This is an information notice of what is proposed for Drupal Camp Galway later this year (Nov 7th/8th). If there is enough interest, we'll go with it as proposed (or amended), if not, we'll go with our usual system of two days in a hotel/college. So,
I'm proposing to hold it in Podumna Village which is a new "glamping" village in the middle of Portumna Town in Galway.
The folks there have quoted for the following:
We would be delighted to be your venue of choice for the Drupal Camp in November.
We will make Pod Umna exclusive for your use and block book all accommodation so you have it entirely to yourselves from the Thursday 6 November until Sunday 9 November.
We will provide the following based on a group of 40
Meal and Conference facilities - all weekend
Tea and scones on arrival - Thursday evening
Breakfast continental - Friday/Saturday/Sunday mornings
Lunch Sandwiches Soup Tea and Coffee - Friday/Saturday
BBQ Friday or Saturday night as directed
Use of Training room/dining room and Reception Room for conference/meeting rooms (for breakout sessions) for the duration of your conference.
We are looking at the best option regarding WiFi and will keep you posted.
The cost per delegate for all the above €80
Accommodation
We have 6 pods which vary in size plus three bedrooms en suite please advise this will be rented on a first come first served basis.
==========
So, DO NOT book places yet. But, DO PLEASE let me know via the comments below or by email info@adesignforlife.net or phone 087 3689507 if the above seems suitable. If there is enough interest, I'll go ahead and book, if not we'll have to come up with something else.
Mark.

€80 is an "all in" fee - covers everything
Hi Guys,
Just to note, the €80 is an "all in" fee. It covers everything mentioned above:
1) Accommodation from Thursday to Sunday (3 nights)
2) Scones and tea/coffee on arrival - Thursday
3) Continental breakfast from Friday to Sunday (3 mornings)
4) BBQ on Friday or Saturday (my preference is Friday, we'll go out for dinner on Saturday)
5) Conference facilities and use of other rooms for break outs, etc
You just need to "arrive" (and pay)!

PING PING PING
Hi Guys
Just a quick ping to see if people can send me a note if they are interested in coming to this?
So far we have a decent amount of people interested, but not enough for me to say, "Let's book it".
If you're interested, please drop an email or a text message or comment here.
Thanks.

It's a lovely idea to mix a bit of nature with an IT-related get together. Even in November :)

git commit -m "go to drupal retreat"
Hi Guys,
We have about 15 people committed so far for this - we need at least 30 to make it viable. If I get that by the end of the week, I'll go ahead and book. So ... anyone else coming along?
If people don't commit, I'll try source a venue for us and leave accommodation finding as an "each to your own" endeavour.
