How to use and set the E-publish module for it's navigation?

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Hi, everyone. I am constructing a journal website.
My plan is build this site mainly by e-publish module, since my site is base on Drupal 5.0 but E-journals module have yet support it.

E-publish is not easy at setting.
Especially the navigation bar on the bottom of every articles, sometimes it display, sometime doesn't.
My intuition about this problem is that, it maybe the content types I choose to be "top story".
It seems only the "story" type will make the navigation bar display.
I don't know if this is correct.

Anyone who has this experience please give me some hints, thanks.

Absent the ejournal module,

Absent the ejournal module, I think your best bet is a combination of the CCK and Views modules. Some of the associated modules could be especially helpful.
