I pulled the trigger, bought the plane ticket and DrupalCon ticket, and made a reservation for 2 double beds in Amsterdam at the Holiday Inn. Now I'm looking for a roommate to share the room and cost. I'm arriving Sunday, September 28th and leaving Saturday, October 4th.
Any takers?
