Hi everyone,
I have just joined Australia Drupal Group and I would like to ask you for advice.
Currently I am working on Drupal contract in London but on the 1-st of December I am flying to Sydney for 3 months. During that time I would like to get all the papers sorted out and start working on contract or perm position there in Australia. It was my dream so I decided to take a risk (as who doesn't take does not win, lol).
I have more than 12 years of wide development experience (both front and back and, as well as server administration).
Do you know any companies who could be interested?
Thank you,
Deepcore (Jakub Mroz)

Hi Jakub, There is a LOT of
Hi Jakub,
There is a LOT of Drupal contract work available in Australia, so you'll have no issues on that front. If you're under 31, you can apply for a working holiday visa: http://www.immi.gov.au/Visas/Pages/417.aspx
If older than 31, you'd need an employer to sponsor you for a 457 skilled worker visa: http://www.immi.gov.au/Visas/Pages/457.aspx
Check the job listings on here for current opportunities, or one of the big job sites like Seek.com.au
Good luck!

Australia is indeed a great place to work.
Poland is unfortunately not included in the working holiday visa scheme (417)

However yeah, as Owen says, the 457 sponsor visa is probably your best bet

So excited that can't sit for a sec
Hi Owen,
You don't even know how excited I am right now while reading your comment.
Dreams start to come true.
I am 33 (grandpa...lol)... so will need to sort out sponsor thing but I am "incorrect" positive guy and I believe that if there's my place everything will go smooth :)
Take care, BIIIGGG thanks for help and hoping to meet you on Drupal meetup.
Take care,
Jay :)

Hi guys,
Thank you for you input.
Looks like I don't have too many options (lol) so I will go for Visa 457.
I believe that it will be the best to start application when I'm there in Sydney as I would need to have a sponsor first.
Do you think that I will need some extra documents or papers (except the obvious ones)?
Thanks and see you there in Australia.
