Payed modules
Saw the video for this module and looks awesome.
My concern is about payed modules, I believe that all code developed on Drupal is open source,
Please correct me if wrong.

You can sell Drupal modules
You can sell Drupal modules and even Drupal core itself but you can not prohibit reselling or modifying if there's used word Drupal inside this module. https://www.drupal.org/licensing/faq
Point 9
So does it mean if say I purchase this module, I can modify and resell it?Wont it be a bit harsh on the author of the module?or does this point 9 need a bit further explanation if I am wrong...
Yeah it is quite bad for
Yeah it is quite bad for those guys who try to make money by selling the modules or themes but It doesn't mean they will die in hunger ;). I tried this path and succeeded in small scale.
I am sure people in Drupal community will know the value of others work and wouldn't try to exploit someones work.
And another way to make it work would be separate some work from Drupal part and licence it differently. I mean there could be file called mycoollogic.php or what ever and this has different licence.
It is not black or white. I
It is not black or white.
I use to work on Joomla! and everytime you find a good module you need to pay for it.
Finally Joomla! open source but at the end need to pay.
Presta Shop has a strong marketplace for selling modules and themes, on one hand the solution is also far from free, but on the other side easy to find professional themes and modules, because the one who did and mantain is payed for it.
I believe that making some bucks from your work is OK, but this community rather than others is based on collaboration.
Personally have contrinuted the community with documentation, themes, modules and profiles; but most of my work is based on what others have done before.

Agreed not black or white
It does however seem a little tight to make money by selling a module that would be entirely useless without all the hard work put in by the core and other modules, which are free.
Given the drupal culture of collaboration described above it would seem reasonable for a module creator to instead make money out of the added value they were able to bring to a drupal project, and keep the module itself open so that others can test and build on it (providing additional value to the developer).
I think this guy should make
I think this guy should make some money with this one. My model was to make some money and then release my modules. I mean I couldn't find anyone who would pay my hours but I knew this will make difference for myself and community. So it seemed kind of right way to sell it for a while.
for a while
I suppose if part of the model is to make some money then release it to the community, then that is a good compromise, and still results in enriching the community.
I should be clear, I don't feel strongly about this myself, and haven't even looked at this specific module, I just came across the comment and thought the point was interesting.
I'm confused
It looks great, but the thing that i didn't understand is, isn't it copyrighted? If it is not, i believe you can make some money with this.

Then again, if 'Views' from the start was a paid module...
Envato marketplace have
Envato marketplace have article about all GPL related issues:
https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/202501064
So what is GPL and what right protected
So this is split licencing, the key is to be aware of what is right protected and which parts GPL licencing.
My understanding is that under Drupal rules all PHP code is GPL same with Bootstrap parts.
So only images could be considered right protected.

I see that this post
I see that this post derivated about licencing. But what about the module itself? I bought it and I found it very useful for develop fast and simple sites. Does anyone else tried it?
My only concern is the issues support in the future.
Envato items with low sales use to be abandoned.
It might be on the right
It might be on the right track but the UI need a huge amount of work to get anything like as slick as the visual page builder for wordpress. I couldnt ask a client to use that module as is.

new module
This one looks much better: http://codecanyon.net/item/drupal-drag-drop-builder/12014058
The Azexo one is still unusable for content editors.
Looks optimistic
This looks like it has the potential to be a great module. It could attract many more users to Drupal.
Having got used to using Visual Composer on WordPress I can't imagine life without it. I want to switch to Drupal, and modules like this could convince me.
I would rather pay for a module than expect the creator to do it all for nothing. I have contributed to open source myself and am all for it. However with this kind of module it's important to have ongoing support, the last thing you want is to have it abandoned. But for that kind of commitment the creator, or team of creators, need to make some cashola to keep from starving on those long coding sessions.
Another module that seems
Another module that seems fare more polished that the Drupal drag and drop builder one.
Test the Awe content module, its worth it
