Presentation
You’ve finally convinced your stakeholders that user research is a vital part of the design and development process. You’re all jazzed up to start creating your research plan when you realize that you cannot reach out to your users and your audience is so niche that getting people outside of your users to participate in your user tests would be worse than useless. What then?
This session will discuss what to do when you have stakeholder buy in to do user research but you can’t actually reach your end users for any number of reasons.
We will discuss:
- Methods for getting information outside of user research
- How to utilize existing customer knowledge
- Ways to leverage contact with (non-end user) customers

About The Speaker
Heather Bauer is the Junior Usability Specialist for BioRAFT, the provider of integrated laboratory safety and research management software solutions. She will be completing her Masters of Science in Human Factors and Information Design from Bentley University in December 2014. During her studies at Bentley, Heather performed user research for one of the largest Pharma companies in the United States, a small educational startup, and Sapient, a marketing and consulting firm. She also acted as co-organizer for the Boston Service Jam, a 48 hour event promoting service design.
Heather is an Expert in Residence at General Assembly for their course, User Experience Design (UXD). User Experience Design is a twelve-week course, taking students with varied experiences from zero to prototype in the UX design process. Working for BioRAFT allows Heather to deliver real-world UX experiences and artifacts to her students.

Drupal and OpenID Connect
Dear group, are there any possibilities to meet-up or contact some Drupal experts in the Boston/Cambridge area regarding Drupal and OpenID Connect?
It would be really helpful to talk to some people who know more than I do on this topic.
Thank you so much,
Caitlin
