Our monthly Providence Drupal Meetup is coming up! We'll be at Founders' League (95 Chestnut St, one floor up from Betaspring, Providence, RI), kicking back with food and drink in their very cool office space. Parking is free on and off street (starts at 5 pm). Doors open at 6pm. Please RSVP at http://meetup.com/drupalpvd

The general format goes something like this:

6-7pm Mentoring Mixer Hour: Come in, bring your laptop, bring your questions or just your willingness to help a fellow community member. There’s almost always someone who’s encountered whatever has stumped you - and next time it might be you who lends a hand!

7pm: Owning Your Base Theme - Have you, or has your company, been toying with the idea of creating your own base theme? John Cionci (@johncionci) and Kathy Beck (@kbeck303), front-end pros and Drupal developers at Oomph(http://thinkoomph.com), will discuss why their company chose to take the leap, and the tools and tips that will help you in the journey. Maybe you're wondering:

• Should I use a framework, like Foundation?

• To Sass, or not to Sass?

• Should I just use Zen, Omega, or another existing base theme?

Don't worry; they will answer those questions, and your other base theme quandaries.

7:45(ish) Mixer Outcomes: A chance for people to share what they learned. If you solved a touch challenge or found a new way of doing a tricky task, share with the group so we can all learn with you!

Have something that’s stumping you? Let us know any time and we can be sure to help connect you with someone who can help, or even make it the topic for the presentation!

We'll send a reminder closer to the date with an update on who's presenting and the topic.
