Hi All,
We are conducting a half day sprint on Saturday November 29 2014.
Location: Unimity Solutions Office, Kasi Arcade, T.Nagar, Chennai.
Everyone is welcome; if you have built a site in Drupal, you can contribute. We will split into pairs and work on Drupal core issues. Bring your laptop. If possible, install git before coming and git clone Drupal 8 core. For new folks: you can get a head start also by making an account on Drupal.org and taking a look at the Drupal Ladder http://drupalladder.org/
Please confirm your presence. RSVP (Confirm participation). Based on your confirmation we will do the seating arrangements. We will also provide wifi connectivity.
Remember your laptop!

sure. I think we have to set
sure. I think we have to set an agenda as its highly focused(~ 4 hours). Also, making it a contrib porting sprint makes more sense as it will have broader participation.
Here's a plan of sorts:
1. 60 min intro to D8
2. 30 min code review of recently ported module
3. decide what module needs to be ported.
4. track via issue queue.
Let me know what you guys think.
Lakshmi, Nice plan. We have
Lakshmi,
Nice plan. We have been conducting D8 module porting sprints in Pune as well and have successfully ported a couple of modules into D8. The code walkthrough always turned out to be more beneficial compared to the intro session.
Lets do 30 mins of intro & then 1 hr of code walkthrough. There will be couple of us joining from Pune remotely as well for the Sprint. Will be around to mentor people as well if needed.
Process we follow for porting sprints:
