Hi guys and girls.
I'm brand new to Drupal and find it really fascinating hence the reason I've taken it upon myself to join your group. I've got a project in mind which I'd like to be able to utilise Drupal for. I know to get it done right it will need a professional hand, but I would really like to learn about it too and be involved in turning my idea into a reality.
I have no previous web design qualifications, but, however, am self taught on Illustrator, Photoshop (to a lesser degree) and have made a handful of Wordpress sites for myself and friends so have some experience with CMS.
I'd love to hear from anyone who has any suggestions to get me started.
Thanks.

Hey BryMac, There are a lot
Hey BryMac,
There are a lot of great tutorials online that will be of use to you; try youtube since Drupal is more visual. I'd also recommend coming along to one of the Drupal drinks sessions that are posted regularly on here. There are events in both Edinburgh and Glasgow (which will be nearby you).
Coming along to the drupal
Coming along to the drupal drinks to chat about drupal would be a good idea, some of the drupalcamp events have training sessions at them.
Browsing the drupal.org website has a ton of resources for learning drupal and there are a load of books available.
There are some great videos out there to help you get started.

The essential training would be a good starting point.

Most of these offer free trials or they are easy to find if you google for it.
