"Drupal Drop in Sprints #10" is the part of Drupal Global Weekend Sprint Initiative - https://groups.drupal.org/node/447258
The "Drupal Drop In Sprints" are monthly sprint events that enable anyone working with Drupal to improve the quality of the software by participating and contributing back to the community. By participating you will also learn from your peers, and raise the skill levels of everyone who collaborates with you.
Following are the areas we target in "Drupal Drop in Sprints" Series -
• Small workshop to introduce Drupal Community contribution to everyone followed by small Session on contribution tasks - look here for details https://www.drupal.org/contribute
• We divide the participants into two groups - beginners, experienced and non coder contributors and have mentor assign to each group who work with them to get them started with their contribution task

You can join IRC channel #drupal-contribute, and can add tags whatever they would decide to your issues tags. If you are newbie in Drupal go ahead with hot to contribute in drupal. And ask questions in IRC to get support quickly.

Most of the people are new to Drupal sprint. We had a discussion on how to contribute and where to start. A brief discussion on Drupal 8 followed by a demo to start.
We have contributed 3 patches and a few patches under progress.
