I did a bit of research for possible bike activities in Bogota.

The city is full of bike paths, see the map: http://www.idu.gov.co/web/guest/tramites_documentos?p_p_id=20&p_p_action.... Renting a bike for the conference time seems to be super awesome.

Every sunday from 7am until 2pm 120km of roads are being closed for cars to let people ride, jog and walk: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ciclov%C3%ADa

On Wednesday nights, you can join another special event - a big bike parade, similar to the Critical Mass in San Francisco: https://www.facebook.com/sanpedro.cpm

So Sunday before the conference would be a great opportunity to cycle and get to know places. Me apunto! :)
