This month, Melissa Anderson (https://www.drupal.org/u/eliza411) is facilitating an interactive research project for anyone involved in any aspect of software development. Participants are invited to share stories from the trenches of software deployment in small groups, then answer some questions about those stories.
Anyone involved in any phase of software development and delivery (bizdev, stakeholder, project manager, scrum master, developer, themer, site builder) is welcome and encouraged to share. For those new to the software industry or who prefer to stay on the sidelines, there are helpful ways to listen and be involved. This is not a Drupal-specific study, so all languages and platforms are welcome, too. (Bring your friends :-)
This collection is part of a narrative research project delving into the delivery of software. Unlike more traditional surveys or hypothesis-based research, the project is grounded in the experience of contemporary practitioners and will explore patterns which emerge from those experiences.

I just wanted to add that I took part in a beta version of this event, and it was an absolute blast!
It is great to learn about a time in a project that maybe had some problems (or went horribly awry), and it's even better to hear about it after things eventually got ironed out. And sometimes getting a deep dark secret off your chest can provide benefits to the community at large! ;-)
