Drupal Camp WI will be August 7th & 8th at the Central Library in Downtown Madison this year. Registration is open on https://drupalcampwi.org and session proposals will open up soon!

If you want to help organize the camp or become a camp sponsor, please let me know.

Canceled Drupal Camp WI

Drupal Camp WI was going to be August 7th and 8th in Madison, WI. It looks like we picked a bad date this year because there weren't as many people registered as past years.

We will not be holding the camp in August this year, and we will try to avoid the busy summer for future camps.

That's a shame!

Combining Conferences

I am one of the organizers of Madison PHP Conference. The comment about things getting so busy with so many conferences got me thinking about if it would be beneficial for the organizers of some of the Madison conferences to get together and take a look at combining? PHP and Drupal have some overlap. Even just sharing venue costs may be beneficial (holding the conferences in conjunction) and may get more out-of-town people to attend, more cross-promotion, etc. Any interest in discussing?

I just get back into Drupal development only to find that Camp is cancelled. NOoooo!!!

I like the idea of combining the Mad PHP Conference and Drupal Camp. It would be a great combo given the role Symfony will play in Drupal's future.

Absolutely. We were just discussing this very idea to talk with you about moving this Drupal Camp back to the November time around Madison PHP Conference to help people take advantage of both events -- plus getting better coordinated for future events.

I agree. In the past, I was instrumental as one of the organizers for Madison Drupal Camp. I also attend the Madison PHP monthly meetups largely due to my interest in being a better Drupal developer. I think this could be a wonderful opportunity for us to pool our strengths together to pull off larger events.

It is definitely worth a meeting of the minds to discuss the possibilities for collaborating in the future.
