Just discovered this event going on just off West St. tonight with matslats who looks like an interesting person with many Drupal contributions too - going to try and make it down myself:

Matslats - Community currency engineer

  • What is money?
  • What is a recession?
  • Why are local economies so important?
  • How do we build and retain real wealth?
  • What does solidarity economy really mean?
  • What's the difference between a Local Pound and a LETS?
  • And The Trading Floor game!

This workshop will be delivered by visiting community currency engineer, Matthew Slater.

Matthew is co-author of the Money and Society MOOC that's being delivered as a Master's module by the Institute for Leadership and Sustainability (IFLAS) at University of Cumbria.

Matthew is also a developer of community accounting software (e.g. LETS and Timebanks) and co-founder of Community Forge, which provides free software to 150 community currency projects.

ah, but what about "might be"? Often "was" changes to "might be" then "no" ;)

I do have a witty reply but

I do have a witty reply but am begging to worry that if we keep this up we will both get banned as spammers.
