I'm interested in forming a Baltimore Drupal User Group to meet regularly in Baltimore. We have the perfect space for meetups that can hold 80 people comfortably and has a commercial kitchen, bar, plenty of bathrooms and even a club room for over flow or socializing.
I'd like to gauge interest and get some feedback from the group? So...
- Would you be interested?
- Would you be willing to help plan?
- How often should a group meet? Monthly? Bi-monthly? Quarterly?
- Any suggestions for presentations and presenters?
- Any suggestions for day of the week and times?
Thanks

I would go. I suggest
I would go. I suggest monthly. I can help plan, virtually. I would say that you may want to schedule it to be a week of the month that the MD Drupal and the DC Drupal don't meet. I think MD Drupal has decided to stick to the fourth week of the month, and DC Drupal the second Monday (maybe).
Good luck!

Baltimore Drupal User Group
Hello, Daniel,
I'm interested. I'm not sure how regularly
I would come, but I could support occasional
activites. I am a Drupal user and use
Drupal for the Baltimore ACM website:
http://bacm.us/ .
If you want to choose a meeting date that is a certain
regular day of the month, I happen to be in the middle
of doing a survey to pick our own dates. I'll append
that below FYI. I live near Margie Roswell, who does
a lot with Drupal. She is the author of "Drupal 5 Recipes",
recently published by Packt Press. We've talked about
her doing some kind of tutorial/talk at some point.
Best wishes,

Inaugural Baltimore Drupal Meetup
Emil,
We'd like to have the first Baltimore Drupal Meetup on March 31st. This helps with avoiding Easter and all the April madness and takes advantage of the extra week in March. After that I'd like to settle in on the second Wednesday of the month which works well with the schedule you posted. Thanks for sharing.
I didn't know Margie was involved in Drupal. I used to work for Bob. Sounds like she'd make a great presenter.
All,
So let's make this official...

well, I'm coming to the meeting from Miami...
so dont disappoint me...
But I have to say that its strange that you guys decide to start a drupal group literally the month after Addison Berry decides to move away from Baltimore.
suggestion that I am looking for. is Anyone doing SERVICES stuff?
so, just checking...
to how many people are showing up tonight. I am still up in phily, and not sure If I want to show up if I am the only one there...
also, If I do show up, will there be anyone that can discuss SERVICES?
so, just checking
Vince: I'll be attending this evening, but I'm just a webmaster user.
I don't know anyone offering services for hire in Baltimore.
I count only 5 distinct responders to this meeting notice.
Baltimore does have a very active tech community though.
I didn't know Addison Berry used to live in Baltimore.
Famous people have to keep a low profile, you know. (kidding)
She's going to miss out on Google Fiber, because
Baltimore's response rocks! http://bmorefiber.com/ .

SERVICES...
I ment to say the SERVICES Module's
It's for setting up JSON SOAP RPCXML type stuff to DRUPAL.
so not really services for hire.
I am still in Phily at the moment, so If I am going, I have to leave now... and if only two people are coming, then I may take a rain check. I will be in town Thursday and Friday if someone wants to get together and chat. give me a ring: 410-625-9700
I'll be there
I'll be at the b-more meeting tonight as well. At some point, I'll be doing mobile integrations, so I'll be workin on the SERVICES module as well. Maybe ping off of each other and figure it out as we go.
Interested
I'd be interested in coming to future Bmore meetups, this week is just client hell, and there is no way to make it tonight
Too much work to make it tonight
Maybe next time. I would love to make it sometime, please keep posting meetups & I will keep trying!
