I'm starting (okay, restarting) the Miami Drupal Group. We had an organizing meeting last week in Sunny Isles and our next two meetings are now set for downtown Miami at Knight Foundation offices for Feb. 24th and March 24th.
At our Feb. 24th meeting we'll review Drupalcamp and Wordcamp, plan for FOWA Miami and hopefu...lly talk about municipal wireless projects.
At the March 24th meeting we'll look at the winning projects of the Knight Drupal Initiative.

It looks like you have only posted this in the "Florida" group. I know many people use the "Miami, Florida" group. I would recommend posting to both groups.

Where are we communicating
Where are we communicating about the Miami Meetup? I have two issues that need to be resolved.
First, Phase2 has shown some interest (http://groups.drupal.org/node/52593) in perhaps giving a demonstration of OpenPublish at the meetup like they are going to do in Atlanta this month (http://groups.drupal.org/node/53063). I forwarded them Robertson's contact information because I think that they should be speaking to him about that, but nobody has told me anything so I don't know.
Second, I'm getting lots of people asking about building websites for companies that support or are in the yacht and boat industry. These companies are world wide with their headquarters or large branch offices in South Florida particularly in Fort Lauderdale. I don't have time and I want to focus my learning and time on publishing. If people who attend the Miami Meetup would like to collaborate with me on involvement with the building sites for the yacht industry then we need to communicate.
I forwarded one of the leads to Vincent who also attend the last meetup in Miami but I have three other people asking me to build them a website. And, I have one huge idea for (I can't talk about it)........

The GDO website is our official/canonical place to talk and share ideas. I have opened pages on Facebook and Meetup only to troll for new members.
I like the idea of inviting Phase2 to present. Our april meeting is available but perhaps we should put this into May so that we have better attendance. (I kinda expect the april meeting to be focusing on Drupalcon SF.)
