Miami (Coral Gables) meetup
I was lucky enough to attend a new Florida Drupal Empire meetup in Coral Gables last week at the Planet Linux Cafe (full details - http://www.meetup.com/Drupal-Miami/events/57984462/). We had a nice turnout of 15 people, including Alfred Smith, the person who put it all together (thanks, Alfred!) A few other "regulars" from the Florida Drupal Empire were also in attendance, but I'll let them speak up in the comments below.

At our Feb. 24th meeting we'll review Drupalcamp and Wordcamp, plan for FOWA Miami and hopefu...lly talk about municipal wireless projects.
At the March 24th meeting we'll look at the winning projects of the Knight Drupal Initiative.
Find us in Drupal Groups and join (free of course) at [http://groups.drupal.org/node/2175].

Miami/Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood area Drupalists: New email list for us!
Hi all.
I'm working to cultivate a Miami area Drupal scene. Let's put Miami on the Drupal map.
I believe it's valuable to have a simple email list to bring us together, as complementary to this space.
I've registered www.drupalmiami.com, which now points to a new Google Group called Drupal in Miami.
I encourage anyone who's interested in Drupal and local to the greater Miami area to subscribe.
I'll work on other avenues as necessary and stay focused on what works in connecting us.
I posted this elsewhere in comments, but thought I'd create a new topic.
Best,
--D
