Hello!

Is it OK - in terms of community guidelines and etiquette - to post a request for volunteer developer support for an Open Atrium/Drupal project here? It's for a women/girls serving nonprofit.

If so, read on! If not, disregard. (Or admins can delete or close the thread. No offense taken.)

As a point and click site builder, I built and manage an online community for a nonprofit that uses Open Atrium 2 and is hosted on Pantheon. The community is for the Girls Rock Camp Alliance, which is an international org that supports all of the Girls Rock Camps around the world. (Camps from the US to Sweden to Japan to Brazil - it's pretty amazing.) The online community is where we share resources (training material, curriculum, etc), ask questions, have discussions, etc that all help us run our own local orgs/camps better. (I'm with Rain City Rock Camp for Girls in Seattle, for example.)

As I said, the site was built with Open Atrium, and I'm OK with some point and click site building, but I'm not a developer, and I don't really know features/git, etc.. This means I have - surprise surprise, gotten behind on Drupal updates, bug fixes, etc. I'm seeking someone who can help me keep our site up to date, and maybe help fix a few bugs here and there. My guess is up front time is 20-30 hours, and then maybe a few hours a month of ongoing advice/support to keep it going.

We have no paid staff and pretty limited budget generally (mostly based on member camps "pay what you can" membership fees) and I volunteer my time to the GRCA for this, including the ongoing community management. For this reason, we're seeking a volunteer for this support, rather than paid staff, which I know is tricky. The benefit to the developer could be an opportunity to get hands on experience with Open Atrium 2 and Pantheon.

Thank you for your time and consideration!

it's a private online community, so i didn't include the URL because there isn't much to see as an anonymous user. i'm happy to give a tour to anyone who might want to know more or might be interested!
