We're looking at changing from WHMCS to a different online invoicing system, so if you are using one (e.g. Freshbooks, Zoho Invoice, etc), would you mind sharing your experience and opinion of it?
In terms of functionality, the only must-have's for us would be recurring/subscription billing, Paypal and/or CC payments from customers, VAT support, and of course it would need to be consistent with Irish bookkeeping/accounting practices.

ok i just had a look around, nice UI. functionality: i would need to get the "enhanced invoicing" paid App (addon) at €10/month to give me recurring billing and paypal/stripe payments, so total cost is lower than WHMCS.
i see it has accounting/bookkeeping features as well, have you used them?

I use it mainly for invoicing, keeping track of expenses and VAT calculations, but yes there are a bunch of accounting reports and things which provide good info, but I leave most of that sort of stuff to the accountant.
