Minutes from Drupal Ireland Committee Meeting in July

Hi all. This is what we discussed at the latest committee meeting, last week:

We talked about the twitter account and have now login details. We decided that everyone within the committee will have access and be able to tweet, keeping in mind that we will ensure to adhere to the social media guidelines.

Login details for the facebook account still unknown despite Mark trying to contact them using the facebook message (no answer to his message). Stella will be reaching out personally people we believe could have access to the facebook login details.

We also talked about the drupal.ie domain name. Last meeting we decided to move away from Conor's as we currently have no access to the hosting and have it in Jochen's Freistilbox. Mark will be asking Conor for a zip file and talk to Jochen about moving to his platform.

We had a look at other communities logos and decided to design a Drupal Ireland logo continuing Roy's initial pass and ideas on the designs. Ricardo to have some designs to show before the next committee meeting.

Regarding the DrupalCon. The pop up banner was discussed, deciding to keep talking about it at the next meeting once the logo has been designed and approved by the committee. For the DrupalCon stand we decided that as well as a table and a chair we are probably going to need stickers and flyers (again to follow once we have a final logo). Ideas for free gifts could be fudge for each of the speakers and something to be decided for each of the volunteers.

We also talked about asking for volunteers to organise next DrupalCamp. Roy will post about it in Facebook's Drupal Ireland public Group and https://groups.drupal.org/ireland

We talked about the possibility of a welcome party for DrupalCon. Different options were considered such as a literary pub crawl, the boat outside the Convention Center (either booking it all evening or just from 6 to 8) and Convention Centre Bar. Stella will be contacting the boat-pub.

The Committee will be meeting again on the 8th of August.
