This month's Portland Drupal User Group gathering will start with pizza and chit-chat at 6pm at ThinkShout's offices (433 NW 4th Ave. Ste 100).

We have two great talks lined up:

Ryan Aslett (mixologic) will talk about building projects with Composer and the drupal.org Composer façade.
Christopher Bloom (illepic) will walk us through a Drupal 8 migration. Maybe we should add popcorn to the menu?

Thanks again Chris. These slides are going to be very handy the first time I need to get into a d8 migration. I am super curious how well file-based config smooths the developer workflow for migrations. I expect it to be a good time saver because I use it for site building, and it's wonderful, but I haven't done it with a migration yet.
