User group meeting

This is was the Front-End Drupal meetup. Don't worry, the Front-end meetup will be back next month. For the next few months (or for as long as we like) we will be leap-frogging every other month with a Contribute Together Meetup.

Frank Anderson will give a short into to Drupal Ladder, then we will dive into working on a ladder.

Event Details

Are you interested in giving back to Drupal? Do you want to be more involved with code sprints or Drupal 8 initiatives?

Want to give back?

Want to learn how?

Do you already know how and willing to help teach and collaborate with others?

Come look over the shoulder of Drupal pro's -- or come work and let people learn from you!
The atmosphere is loose and questions are encouraged. We will review, work on documentation, patches, issue review, etc. From the time the doors open until everyone is ready to leave we'll be contributing to Drupal together. Chatter and collaboration while we contribute is encouraged and some of us might focus on solving problems we're encountering on personal projects. Play Patch Bingo or Work on Novice Issues. Come get/give help with GIT, Drush, Drupal, LAMP, and environments. Bring your questions and ideas.

We will have pizza, just like last time.

This will be on the East Side, over at Clarity Innovations.

1001 SE Water Avenue
Suite 400
Portland, Oregon 97214

There is some on-street parking nearby. Don't park in the building parking lot.

The front doors to the building could be locked. We'll post someone at the door for a while, but it'll probably be best to arrive a little bit early! You can also try pinging me (@frobdfas) on Twitter if you get locked out and I will let you in. If you do, I will try and DM you back that someone is on the way. The elevators can be slow. If you make it into the building, just get into the elevator. You can call the elevator from the lobby and it will come and open. Then we will call the elevator from the fourth floor and you can get out.

Thanks for running this last night and explaining the Drupal ladder. At the end of the meeting we walked through the steps required to fix a real-world issue in a contrib module. Here's the issue and patch we added:
