Drupal Association South Africa (DASA) Elections 2016/17

UPDATE: Thank you to all those who volunteered. However, due to poor response the election process is postponed for now. We are focused on delivering a great Drupal Camp Cape Town on 21 October. Keep an eye on this forum for further developments.

Hello Everyone,

We are 2/3 through 2016 and its time to elect a new governing board for DASA (Drupal Association South Africa). Here's a quick run-down of the schedule for the elections & annual general meeting (AGM).

31 August - 21 September: Call for Volunteers

Any member of the South African Drupal community is welcome to volunteer to stand for election to the DASA governing board by making a post on this thread and dropping us an email at info@dasa.org.za

Serving on the governing board entails attending meetings (in person or electronically), complying with the DASA constitution, and being part a team working to promote Drupal in South Africa. Many of the current team are rotating out after 2 -3 years of involvement so now is a great time to step up and make your mark.

22 September - 27 September: Biography/motivation & Headshot

We'll gather short biographies/motivating statements and headshots from the volunteers and put together the voting post (like this one but with pictures).

28 September - 19 October (23:59 SAST): Voting

Any member of GDoSA (groups.drupal.org/south-africa), who joined the group before 31 August 2016, can vote by replying to the voting thread that'll be posted on this site.

31 October: Results Published

We'll count up the votes publish the results on this site.

November: Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Sometime in November we'll have our AGM, as required by the DASA constitution, where the financial statements and chairperson's narrative report for the 2015/16 term will be presented, and the election of the new governing board confirmed.
