Hey I'm new to Drupal, and wondering if you all have any favorite Drupal resources (besides the documentation for Drupal 7 and PHP)? I just discovered Drupal Answers, which I think will be super handy, any others I should know about?

Hi Brigette! I've seen good results from buildamodule.com, which is a video training site. There are tutorial series that will help you get up-to-speed with theming and front-end development for Drupal 7 and 8. I wish it had been around when I was starting. The user group meetings in Portland were my best resource when I was getting started, though I haven't been there much since we moved out to the Gorge.
Heya Brigette, I've learned
Heya Brigette,
I've learned loads from Johan Falk while he was a Drupal 7 developer. His company has a library of videos on Vimeo. It can be a little tricky to find them in the right order, but it's well worth the effort.

Drupalize.me is also good, but a little spendy if you can't get an employer to spring for it. In the past, I think it was possible to get a discount during DrupalCon, so it'd be worth asking. Speaking of DrupalCon, most of the sessions are recorded and published on Youtube, so there's there's plenty to learn there too.
Feel free to find me during the Mentorship Saturdays. I try to get to one a month except during blizzards. I'm usually the shortest one in the room unless somebody brings a kid.
