Managing Media in Drupal 8, Ivan Zugec
Ivan will walk us through the various system sand options and will build up a media management system from a basic install. The end result will include browser, selecting and creating media. The best features of various media management approaches will be adapted and combined.
Lando and Docker, Simon Olsen
Simon will do a lightning talk on Lando and Docker with D8 and D7. He's been converting all his dev friends to using Lando instead of their usual local environments (Homebrew, MAMP Pro etc) - maybe he will do the same to you :)

I am based in regional NSW and would like to hear Ivan's talk and connect.
Will there be any options to connect / stream the presentation or get it uploaded after so I can watch?
Cheers

You'll be able to join and watch.

Fantastic. Thanks
Fantastic. Thanks Ivan.
Looking forward to your talk on managing Media.
One thing I am yet to find a good solution for is how to enforce / handle minimum image sizes across different implementations.
I use the standard Image Media type to manage my image media but when, as an example, I then use the Image Media for two different fields (e.g. full width header image and content image), which both require different minimum image sizes, I am not sure how to enforce this.
My work around has been to create a second image media type called 'header image' and then set the minimum image size there.

Hi Dan,
I think you've done the right thing by creating a second media type. There's no easy way to contextually figure out what field the media asset is being used on.

Yeah, OK. A bit frustrating
Yeah, OK. A bit frustrating having to create different media image types for each block of image sizes but it is a step in the right direction.
Thanks for responding.
