About IRC

siva_epari's picture

It is a lightweight chat client mostly used to organize meets and conferences online. Also it is a good medium for feedback, support and collaborative work. You can also join some other famous Drupal channels where you get hunderds of drupal enthusiasts online and discussing about drupal

  1. #drupal (For general discussions)
  2. #drupal-support (For Drupal support)

Try asking a few questions in the channels. You will be surprised by the level of enthusiasm in the replies you get.

Currently i am working in Prabhavat Solutions. I have small query Siva,i created a content type having few fields. Now i am trying to show those content types as list in tabular format. For this i am going to use VIEWS module. I created a view for showing these as list but which is showing as block of content types one after another siva. I have to configure some where to show those content types as list of values.
I think for edit view,i need to change in Fields or Arguments. Can u suggest me what i have to do for resolving this issue siva.

'Style' under Basic settings

Hi Praveen,

Try this,

To change the Display to table format click on 'Style' under "Basic Settings" . Then you will see the option to choose Table format.

I need the functionality for selection of country and states based on the country. In this functionality i am going to use the conditional fields module Ipsita. You narrate me last Saturday i am following the same pattern what u told. Can you give me a small description for implement, If select the country then i need to get the list of corresponding states.
Before i created the content types for countries and states. Is it correct approach or not. I need to know to configure the countries and states for that. Thank you Ispita.

Hi

Hi Praveen,

Conditional field is good in some cases. For your requirement, I would rather say http://drupal.org/project/hierarchical_select module will be better.

Create a Vocabulary(taxonomy) called 'places' and make it a multilevel vocabulary, like names of country as first level terms and state names as second level terms.

With hierarchical_select module you can create a field which will allow selecting a Country and populate the new field with state names based on selected Country name.

See this demo,

Thanks,
Ipsita
